Remarkable Cave

Remarkable Cave

Remarkable Cave is a popular geological feature which is carved out of the sandstone cliff face by sea erosion to form a rock bridge.

The cave is a short but rewarding walk from the car park with over 100 steps down to a platform where you can view the cave opening.

Visitors should be aware that waves sometimes crash through the tunnel and soak the viewing platform at high tide.

There are great views of Maingon Bay and Cape Raoul from the recently upgraded viewing platform at the car park and there are also toilet facilities.

The south facing viewing platform at the car park is also a perfect place to look for the Southern Aurora on clear nights.
