On the doorstep to historic site - with amazing food and clean and comfortable rooms and lovely staff.
Literally on the door step to port Arthur historic site, the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating.
The food on site was amazing too, amazing Tassie salmon and views over the historic site.

Located at the top of the hill to Historic Port Arthur site.
Restaurant was excellent food. We had the seafood platter for two and over indulged!
Room had a nice veranda and view over Port Arthur.
Nice little bar area with some humour :)

- Adored the cosy comfy stay
I loved how friendly the place was and the food was absolutely delicious! I didn’t realise the parmi’s were jumbo, and OMG talk about bang for your buck! Never seen anything like it and it was soooo good! Location was incredible, right near the Historic Site which is why we were there and it was perfect, a small cosy friendly place.

- Fantastic location if you intend to visit Port Arthur Historic site and very helpful staff!
The location of the property adjacent to the Port Arthur Historic site was perfect! We could come and go from our accommodation into the historic site as often as we liked. The lady in charge/owner was brilliant. She was very helpful and friendly.

It was wonderful to go for dinner, sit at the table and realise that you are basically in the prison site.

The location right next to Port Arthur was incredible with “back door” access if you had tickets to the site. Convenient parking right near our room and restaurant on site that had lovely and very generous meals. I had a stuffed chicken breast with veggies and the serve was too large for me to finish. Two others had enormous parmie and chip meals and my daughter decided to have the entrée serve of lemon pepper calamari (which was generous) and a side serve of veggies (only $6 for the side and it could have fed 3 as a side). Great to be able to get a nice serve of veggies when travelling! Beds comfy and clean. Bathrooms dated but also very clean. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Lovely view from restaurant. Simple and very affordable continental breakfast next morning with lovely fruit salad and gluten free toast offered. We had adjoining rooms and I was impressed at how little sound travelled between the rooms once both connecting doors were closed. Had everything we needed. - Very comfortable stay and excellent restaurant
I was totally satisfied with my room. The bed was very comfortable. Wifi worked well. I could park my small car right in front of the room. Shower was good. Location is excellent.
I was eating in the restaurant both nights and it was far above my expectations. It was really very good.
I did not need the heater as it was warm enough in January.

Definitely recommend. We stayed one night. Good price. Clean and comfortable. Directly next to the ruins. Staff are extremely friendly & helpful. Beautiful views.

Clean, comfortable and inviting. Not just the room, which is simple but all you need to rest your head after a busy day, but the restaurant serves good hearty meals that are full of flavour and beautifully presented. Take time to hit the public bar. The locals add that extra welcoming charm, and they will treat you as one of their own. We WILL be back. Can't wait.

- Location can’t be rivaled
Phenomenal location behind the historical site. Clean and bright rooms with great views. Great dinner and huge portions. Convenient breakfast. We’re visiting from abroad, so seeing wallabies race across the lawn and wake to a chorus of birds was an extra treat.

- Great Location for Those Visiting the Port Arthur Historic Site
The check-in/ check out process was beyond some five star accommodations in bigger town would extend. We find that the receptionist who welcomed us during check in was very knowledgeable of the area with lots of recommendations.
We booked an interconnecting room with us being a family of 4 and the bedding was comfortable, sheets were clean and the room reasonably supplied with coffee, tea, milk and biscuits and complimentary water.
The Inn also has a restaurant that offers an amazing view of the Port Arthur Historic Site grounds. The Port Arthur grounds are next to the Inn and the room keys allows to open the gate through the grounds , so it’s so comfortable especially if you’re only staying for an overnight.
Overall, it was a beautiful stay and we would recommend any travellers to stay here. And the Inn is also within reach a few must see places to visit. We would not hesitate to stay here again next time we visit Tasmania.

- Excellent place to stay
Location fantastic as it's so close to the Port Arthur historic site. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was super comfy and spacious. Good bed and pillows. Price was excellent! Also has a brilliant pub attached that served great food at appropriate prices. This is the first place in Tassie we have been to that you can get a decent glass of wine for under $10 or get a great feed for under $30. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back again!

- Fantastic Location
Definitely a good location for visiting Port Arthur with back entry into the Historic Site. The room was large, clean with a nice outlook. The restaurant has amazing views over the historic site. Parking was easy with a ramp to rooms. Food was excellent but several menu items not available. Happy to recommend and we would stay again.
